1. What Orion’s AI Actually Does
AI is used in specific, visible places in Orion:
- Reading uploaded statements, bills, and credit reports to extract fields like lender, balance, APR, minimum payment, and due date.
- Summarizing your financial position and generating Mission Control briefings and daily insights.
- Producing payoff strategies, paycheck allocation plans, cash-flow forecasts, and what-if scenarios.
- Suggesting credit actions and drafting dispute letters for your review.
- Grouping business income and expenses into tax categories.
- Answering your questions in Orion Grant chat, using the data in your account for context.
Orion Grant is an AI persona built on third-party language models. It is not a person, and it is not a licensed professional.
2. Informational and Educational Only
Everything Orion produces is informational and educational. It is designed to help you understand your options and organize your finances — not to serve as professional advice tailored to your full legal, tax, and financial situation.
3. AI Can Make Mistakes
Language models can misread a document, transpose a number, misinterpret a due date, miscategorize an expense, or state something confidently that is wrong. Calculations built on top of extracted data inherit those errors.
- Check extracted values against the original statement before saving them.
- Confirm balances, APRs, and due dates with your lender or servicer.
- Treat scores, forecasts, and Traffic Light signals as estimates from your own entered data.
4. You Remain Responsible for Your Decisions
Orion never moves money, pays a bill, contacts a creditor, files a document, or takes any action on your behalf. Every action happens because you choose to take it, and the outcome is yours.
5. Credit Recommendations Require Your Review
Credit guidance in Orion is based on the account data you enter or upload, not on a live credit pull. Utilization math and score impact are modeled estimates. Real scoring models are proprietary and consider factors Orion cannot see.
6. Dispute Letters Require Your Approval
Orion can draft a dispute letter, but you must read it, verify every factual claim, and send it yourself. Submitting a dispute you know to be false can carry legal consequences. Orion is not a credit repair organization and does not dispute items on your behalf.
7. Review Tax Categorization Before Filing
AI-assisted categorization is an organizing aid for you and your tax preparer. Review every category before it is used in a filing. Orion does not prepare or file tax returns and is not a CPA.
8. Not a Substitute for Professional Advice
- Orion is not a certified public accountant and no CPA relationship is created by using it.
- Orion is not a law firm or attorney and no attorney–client relationship is created.
- Orion is not a registered investment adviser, broker, or financial planner, and no fiduciary or advisory relationship is created.
- Orion is not a lender, loan broker, credit repair organization, or debt settlement company, and does not lend money, negotiate with creditors, or repair credit on your behalf.
9. No Guarantee of Financial Improvement
We do not guarantee debt elimination, credit score increases, interest savings, loan approvals, or any other financial result. Projections show what could happen if the assumptions hold; real life rarely matches the assumptions exactly.
10. How Your Data Is Used with AI
AI requests are sent through a secured gateway to model providers and carry only the context needed for the task. Under our provider terms, your data is not used to train their models. We do not sell your data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
